Schiff Digestive Advantage Full Review & Opinion
Schiff Digestive Advantage Probiotic Ingredients
The list of ingredients when it comes to the Schiff Digestive Advantage Probiotic is quite simple, in fact, there are 2 main ingredients that are listed on their website:
- Bacillus Coagulans (probiotic strain),
And that’s it, super simple, right?
Unfortunately, it’s one of the things I dislike, since I prefer a probiotic with a higher those and multiple strains, instead of just one that’s used in Schiff’s Digestive Advantage, non the less, the strain does have some important benefits.
Bacillus Coagulans is a well known strain, known for its powers to help with stomach discomfort, bloating, diarrhea and other digestive problems.
Bacillus Coagulans is also popular for its effects on the immune system, as it really gives it a boost by healing your gut.
Unfortunately though, the probiotic is not super strong coming in at only 2 Billion CFUs and the single probiotic strain, which may not be ideal for people who already have digestion problems, but it may be good for people looking to maintain their gut health, as well as children, in fact, in my opinion, it’s one of the best probiotics for children.
Recommended dose Schiff Digestive Advantage
Schiff recommends taking 1-2 capsules of the probiotics per day with a bit of water. Keep in mind that these probiotics are not suited for minors under 18 years old.
The capsules are shaped nicely, covered with gelatin and are easy to consume and swallow, so that’s a plus.
Digestive Advantage Probiotic Benefits
There are numerous digestive benefits that are listed on the official website of this product including better digestion, more energy, less bloating and others. (It’s also very good for reversing diabetes – medbio.info/best-probiotics-for-diabetes/ )
For me the benefits were mainly less bloating, because I’m already in good health due to taking my 60 billion CFU probiotic for years (the one that also healed all my problems).
Due to that, I’m now able to take probiotics like these which only have enough CFUs for a maintenance dose.
Other than less bloating, I didn’t experience any other noticeable benefits.
Digestive Advantage Side Effects and Allergies
While consuming Schiff’s Digestive Advantage daily for the past month and a half I didn’t notice any side effects, my reasoning for that is the low CFU count.
Usually, when trying out a new probiotic you can expect to experience some stomach discomfort, so you at least know that it is indeed working.
Regarding allergies, I’m sorry to say that this probiotic contains a common allergen – soy. Which is quite unfortunate, since it is a problem for a lot of people.
Luckily the probiotic is free of added sugar, yeast, gluten, wheat and salt.

Digestive Advantage Review
My overall opinion of Schiff Digestive Advantage Probiotic is positive, however when it comes to recommending it I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone.
I’d certainly recommend it for healthy people, without any kind of gut or digestive problems, as this product is ideal for a maintenance probiotic.
But if you’re in need of improving your gut health and really cannot recommend this product, as my experience in the past, with low CFU probiotic was negative, as I didn’t experience any positive effects.
